Taylor Swift’s Next Chapter

I have a snow day today and obviously can’t stop thinking about everything going on with Taylor so here are all my theories of what is going on in the world of Taylor Swift.

TS7:  The new album will be very poppy/airy and happy. I’m thinking 1989 vibes, but with west coast and beach vibes instead of NYC/east coast. The songs on her “Songs Taylor Loves” Spotify playlist included: “West Coast”, “Pineapple Skies”, and “Champagne Clouds”.   Also, the stars, flamingos, mermaids, Cinderella dress, and palm trees give me the poppy fairytale feel too.

My takeaways from the Elle essay:

1. She references books so many times that the album has to be titled “next chapter”, (as she also referenced in her AMA’s acceptance speech) or fairytale, story, chronicles of Taylor (lol) etc…

2. The insta with her face in the hole of the fence and this quote, “music lovers want some biographical glimpse into the world of our narrator, a hole in the emotional walls people put up around themselves to survive”, have me convinced we’re getting a song called fences, or her side of life/her story, something of the sort…also the caption of the post for the mag was “ME” so I think it’s going to be a lot of story telling while still remaining in the pop genre (as she says in the essay)

3. She definitely threw shade at Kim and Kanye, aka my archenemies, by including the line “Kiki do you love me” and I am living for it!

4. she’s engaged, or at least is very serious about Joe. In the ELLE essay, she says, “I want to remember the color of the sweater, the temperature of the air, the creak of the floorboards, the time on the clock when your heart was stolen or shattered or healed or CLAIMED FOREVER.” This could be just a reference to a step in finding love, but she’s always said she’s never been IN LOVE before. Saying that her heart is claimed forever is a big deal for Taylor.
